SOAK Employee Appreciation Trip!
Every spring, a trip to Andelin Family Farms in Sparks is in order. Who doesn’t love seeing baby animals up close? From adorable cows and sheep to chic chickens galore, there’s a farm animal for everyone at this well-known Northern Nevada Farm.
The farm is in Spanish Springs and offers family-friendly events throughout spring, summer, and fall. From growing sunflowers and tulips to raising goats, emus, sheep, and chickens, there’s always something fun going on in the fields!
What are some of our SOAK employees’ favorite parts of Baby Animal Day?
Just like Andelin Family Farms, SOAK supports brands that prioritize animal welfare causes. That’s why we use FarmHouse Fresh products in our Seasonal SOAKs and offer them for sale in our store.
What makes FarmHouse Fresh the best products in the business? The company’s mission is to give neglected and abused animals a second chance and the care they need. They’ve saved over 1,500 animals from slaughter and nursed them back from starvation. Their efforts have also given deserving animals life-saving surgeries, provided long-term care and love, and rehabilitated them from extremely abusive situations.
Right now, our staff is loving these products from FarmHouse Fresh:
-Shea Butter Hand Cream. This shea butter whip is a tubful of new starts! Just named one of the “15 Best Dermatologist Approved Hand Creams for Dry Skin” by Women’s Health Magazine, this hand cream wraps you in the scent of a freshly picked orange orchard.
-Honey Lavender and Brandy Pear body scrubs. Body scrub and body polish are truly essentials to your skin care routine, and it’s a plus if they smell ahh-mazing!
-Mood Fruit Lip Tints. Brand new to the SOAK boutique, these all-natural, vitamin C and organic fruit-enfused lip balms are therapy for puckers needing a hydrating refresh. Kiss dry skin goodbye after just one use! At SOAK, we firmly believe in incorporating the best products possible for you and your skin, and this is no exception. Pick up one (or two!) lip tints today at both of our SOAK locations.
SOAK loves giving back to local nonprofits, especially ones that also support animals just like Andelin Family Farms. An amazing cause we love to support every month is the Canine Rehabilitation Center and Cat Sanctuary. Also known as CRCCS, this 501(c)(3) nonprofit has a mission to inspire, educate, and motivate humans to change how our world views, rescues, and places homeless dogs and cats. They offer behavioral training, adoption services, hospice care, and more.
All in all, SOAK loves businesses that love the community back. When you indulge in our luxurious nail care services, you can feel the love too at both of our Reno locations.
