Team Bonding, Baby Animals & Big Hearts: SOAK’s Day at Andelin Farm

At SOAK, we believe self-care goes beyond the spa chair. It’s about connection, community, compassion, and creating moments that matter — both inside and outside of the salon. That’s why one of our favorite traditions each year is gathering our team and families together for a special bonding experience.

This year, our owner Shannon Dunlap treated the SOAK team to a day at Andelin Farm in Sparks for their annual Baby Animal Days — and it was the perfect reminder of what makes the SOAK family so special.

From cuddling baby goats and feeding lambs to watching our kids laugh and explore together, the day was filled with joy, relaxation, and genuine connection. It gave our team the chance to slow down, spend quality time together outside of work, and include the people who matter most to us — our families.

At SOAK, we’re incredibly intentional about building a culture that feels supportive, uplifting, and community-centered. Events like this strengthen the relationships behind the scenes, which ultimately helps us create the warm, welcoming experience our guests feel every time they walk through our doors.

What made the day even more meaningful was how closely it aligns with one of the brands we absolutely love carrying at SOAK: FarmHouse Fresh.

FarmHouse Fresh isn’t just known for their luxurious, farm-inspired skincare products — they’re also deeply committed to animal rescue and sanctuary efforts. Their mission of giving back to animals resonates strongly with our team and our values here at SOAK.

Locally, we’re also proud supporters of CRCCS — the Canine Rehabilitation Center and Cat Sanctuary here in Northern Nevada. Their incredible work providing rescue, rehabilitation, and compassionate care for animals in need is something close to our hearts, and we’re honored to support an organization making such a meaningful impact in our community.

Being surrounded by baby animals at Andelin Farm served as such a beautiful reminder of the importance of compassion, care, and giving back — values that are woven into everything we do at SOAK.

Whether it’s through the products we carry, the nonprofits we support, or the way we show up for one another as a team, we believe beauty and wellness should always have heart behind it.
